Rosewood burl is renown for its desirable, unique grain structure. Its grain runs from crimson red sapwood, throughout black/brown sweeping heartwood. It makes for an entirely distinctive grain pattern. The timber in this ring is paired with a brushed black Tungsten exterior, with an offset Rose Gold inlay. All timber is sealed in a vacuum with acrylic resin, to make the most durable, and water resistant rings possible. They are all finished in marine grade epoxy for utmost strength and durability.
Tungsten Carbide is made via a lost wax casting process in an industrial mold. It has no seams, and is ranked upwards of 9 on Moh's hardness scale. It's literally used (and how I use it) to cut titanium. It's incredibly hard and durable.

3. Package up the ring that does not fit and ship it back with the return label we will provide you.

Original exchanges must be initiated within 30 days from the delivery date of original order. Subsequent exchanges must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the exchange.

This is a gorgeous ring! We were slightly disappointed when we first received it, the jeweler that measured my fiancé gave us the wrong measurement and when we got the ring it was too big! It was SOOO easy to exchange, and get the correct size, and he says it's so comfortable, on top of looking stylish. He can't wait until April when he can finally get to wear it.

Pros: unique design; real wood grain; comfort fit inside layer; fits well/doesn't seem like it will ever just fall off (I bought the ring sizer which is great on it's own, but the accompanying discount makes it dumb not to buy); I like the free workout band that comes with it.
Cons: wood is darker on my ring than the bright red in the photos on the Thorum site- this is a little disappointing, but a consequence of using real wood that has natural variations-just be aware before buying; the tungsten/metal outer band is mildly uncomfortable as the edges are not rounded as much as the inside layer- I'm sure I'll get used to it over time, and it appears as pictured- it's just the way it is designed, not a flaw. Maybe if I had thicker fingers I wouldn't notice it as much?
No idea yet about durability as I just got it and started wearing it yesterday. I definitely recommend this ring and would buy it again. Others showed themselves wearing the ring so I showed the inside instead.
I have fairly short fingers, so I have an Armstrong women's ring to wear as an everyday wedding band. I liked it so much that I decided to buy the heftier 8mm Loki to wear on my right hand middle finger for special occasions. Also found a very affordable black leather and rose gold stainless steel watch - although they're not a set I love how the color scheme ties everything together. Altogether, couldn't be happier with the value, appearance, and comfort.
Build quality seems great. Love the fit and feel. Obviously the aesthetics and preferences are a personal thing but I think it looks unique and sophisticated. I didn't want just the plain silver or gold band, but I also didn't want something gaudy or showy. I think this is the best of both worlds.
Bought this ring for my husband and he loved it. Very unique and well-made. Silicone ring was somehow a bit looser than the actual ring for him, just for the reference

I was looking for an unusual ring for my husband who is a woodworker. I came across thorum. We absolutely love the wood inside the ring! We had to exchange for a smaller size, which was possible without any trouble. Love the silicone ring it comes with which can be worn when working. Beautiful ring and great customer service. But get the ring sizer first! The discount is more than worth it and sizing is not the same as standard rings.

I ordered my ring last minute - Northbands managed to get the ring sizer to me really quickly, and then ring itself just as fast. I couldn't be happier with this ring. It looks even better than pictured, and just feels really great. I had initially ordered a different ring from a standard online jewelry store, but felt really disappointed with the quality. You can really tell these rings are expertly crafted, and not mass produced off an assembly line.
As for the ring itself, the wood sleeve is just beautiful, the rose gold inlay is very neatly placed, and the tungsten finish sleek and sturdy. I didn't think a men's band would be a head turner, but I've been getting a lot of compliments on it! I uploaded a picture here, but will update this review once I receive the higher quality pictures my wedding photographer took.
You guys are the absolute best! From the price of the rings, to the quality of it, to the customer service! 5 stars through and through. If I could give 10 i would.
