Hephaestus, the ancient Greek God of Forging, and Fire. Fire opal is formed through great heat and pressure. The word opal derives from the Latin opalus, meaning “precious jewel,” and from the Greek word opallios, meaning “to see a change in color.”
Opal has long symbolized faithfulness and confidence. We paired this opal with a sandblasted, gun-gray black Tungsten Carbide band. At Thorum, we exclusively use simulated opals that are entirely ecofriendly, and will never tarnish, nor fade.

We offer hassle-free exchanges for any reason for a nominal $25 restocking fee. This includes your return shipping, the cost to ship the new ring, repackaging, restocking labor, sanitizing, and hand-polishing.
Feel free to keep the silicone ring your original package includes, otherwise please include it in your exchange and we’ll ensure to swap it out for the appropriate size.
This is our exchange process:
1. Start by initiating your exchange by completing the purchase.
2. Wait for your new ring to arrive in the mail.
3. Package up the ring that does not fit and ship it back with the return label we will provide you.
4. Enjoy your new ring!
Original exchanges must be initiated within 30 days from the delivery date of original order. Subsequent exchanges must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the exchange.
