Damascus steel originated in Syria, and was perfected in Japan in the late 1500s by Hattori Hanzo - the master Japanese knife maker.
At Thorum, we create Damascus steel by forge welding, and folding two types of steel several hundred times to create a unique water-dropped aesthetic. The Sensei features an offset 18k Rose Gold inlay, for a modern and minimal aesthetic. We hammered the Rose Gold into a channel grooved out by a lathe, and then true it into place with the work of files, and hand tools.
Each ring is unique, as is each wearer. We've been making the most rugged, unique, and durable rings available for over 10 years.

Every Thorum ring includes a medical grade silicone band, a drawstring bag, and a unique walnut display box.

We offer hassle-free exchanges for any reason for a nominal $25 restocking fee. This includes your return shipping, the cost to ship the new ring, repackaging, restocking labor, sanitizing, and hand-polishing.
Feel free to keep the silicone ring your original package includes, otherwise please include it in your exchange and we’ll ensure to swap it out for the appropriate size.
This is our exchange process:
1. Start by initiating your exchange by completing the purchase.
2. Wait for your new ring to arrive in the mail.
3. Package up the ring that does not fit and ship it back with the return label we will provide you.
4. Enjoy your new ring!
Original exchanges must be initiated within 30 days from the delivery date of original order. Subsequent exchanges must be initiated within 7 days of receiving the exchange.
